Norton Priory has been a centre of artistic and creative activity since the medieval period and this is carried on into the present day with our specially commissioned sculpture trail which covers the Woodland Gardens and the Walled Garden.
The trail celebrates the history, ecology and architecture of the site, drawing inspiration from features of the natural setting, the Undercroft and the ruins.
The Kneeling Monk by Thomas Dagnall, acts as a link between the medieval and contemporary sculptures, the spiritual and physical worlds and the past and the future.
Three Spires by Mary Bourne is a combination of natural but also architectural forms which suggests peaceful contemplation and spirituality.
