Discover Sunday - Waiting for Godot performed by VML Drama

Date: 21st July 2024, 2.30pm

Popular community theatre group VML returns to Norton Priory Museum and Gardens with the classic play ‘Waiting for Godot’, written by Samuel Beckett.

Two characters, Vladimir and Estragon, wait by a tree for the arrival of Godot. While they wait, they pass the time with conversations, arguments and discussions about the meaning and absurdity of life. Occasionally other characters pass by the tree, inspiring further discussions and interaction.

Over the years VML have delighted audiences with quality theatre performances at Norton Priory at affordable prices and accessible to all. Waiting for Godot is a longer play aimed at an audience aged 12 and above. As this is a Discover Sunday, performances are free with general admission price.

The play will be performed in our medieval Undercroft at 2.30pm, but your ticket will grant you access to the museum and grounds all day. The museum is open from 10am to 5pm and Walled Garden will be open from 12pm till 4pm only.

Pre-booking is strongly advised, book tickets here.
