Beating the BoundsDate: 26th May, 1.30pm
Beating the Bounds is an ancient custom when parishioners would beat local landmarks with willow branches to help maintain a shared mental map of parish boundaries. Join our Ranger for our ‘Beating the Bounds’ guided walk. The walk will take about an hour and is suitable for those with good mobility. We will stop along the route to take in some of the significant locations once associated with the Norton Priory estate and learn more about their role in Norton Priory’s history. Meet at the Museum reception at 1.30pm whatever the weather.
Tickets are charged at a flat rate of £5 per person, and this event is free for Norton Priory members.
